About 10 years later... GYARU MONTH!!!

Honestly it's being so fucking long since last time I've posted in my blog hahaha 

But Reila actually did and amazing job and the least I can do is take a bit of a part of it!! ヽ(´▽｀)/

It's also beatiful to have such a significant date to commemorate us gals and the style we love! From the first ones and all the struggles to todays ones! With an open world of opportunities! (｀∀´)

Name / Gyaru nickname and country?

Everybody's known me as Chio for over 10 years! So let's keep the actual name mysterious and let's carry on!
I was born in the hot, beatiful Malaga, but my life took me to live in London over 8 years ago!! So a bit of sun and a little of rain! In the mixture is the power!!

Since when are you gyaru?

As I said before... It's been already over a decade!
I was working in my hometown when trying to find a style to fit myself into! During my teenager years I was pretty much into visual kei and even tried (unsuccessfully) to give it a go to Lolita fashion!
However, gals manga marked my life and sense of fashion strongly and it definitely became a reference for me as soon as I had my own money to start my journey! So let's say... since around 2008?? Kinda!

How did you discover the style?

That's what happens when you don't read all the questions before proceeding 😂😂
As I said before, Gals Manga was probably the way I realized about gyaru fashion and what it supposed and was! But way before, I'd say kataan and manbas in general was what it lighted the gunpowder in my chest!

"I want to be like them!!!!" I thought.


I really wanted to be like them!

What's your current substyle?

I wouldn't say I really have a substyle (nor a style, probably) since there are many styles that I love and enjoy wearing! But I could probably (and unfortunately) discard some of my young age styles since I don't feel as comfortable wearing them as I used to back in younger years! So if we discard gyaru-kaji, ame-kaji and also (even tho I've never really worn it) hime-kaji and some others such as rokku, I would say I'm pretty much into kurogyaru/kuronba, oraora, sometimes boohoo but, hey, always and in top of everything.... A Yankee from the bottom of my ❤️!!!!
I love all related to Yankee culture, bosozoku, sukeban and all!

Why do you like it?

I like Gyaru because... It makes me feel me and free.
I have many complexes about my body. I'm way more self conscious than nobody would believe sometimes (since I look outgoing and even careless sometimes, but I'm really really insecure!) and gyaru always gets to make me feel comfortable. Able to (almost) ignore these insecurities and be who I truly am! I don't think no other styles would have the actual ability of making me feel... Wild and sexy??? 😂

What are your current booms? 

Igari, nose contouring and old school in general!

But, specially, I'm quite obsessed in adding traditional Japanese touches into my clothing. Hair accessories, haori, masks, or even pendant, obi, kimono and geta/zori! I love Japanese traditional wearing and I'm sure there's a way of fitting it into gyaru!

Why do you like them so much?

I'd say there are different explanation for each of 'em! 

Number 1. Comes from like 2012, right right right before I made my dream come true and traveled to Japan for the very first time! I was so so so smol and my style had improved so much in such a short period of time! I had this little break down when I was like the newbiest person ever and appeared in Chogals! But, you know, rised like a Phoenix and that shit 😂😂😂 it reminds me of how strong we are against adversity and that nevermind what people says or think,  you are how you are and being so, you are amazing!! 

In the vanity side, I used to be SO MUCH into amekaji. I used to love egg like it gave me air to breathe, I loved CocoLulu like a religion and I loved the whole crew too! Kanako, romi, nemoyayo... Everyone! And that gives me the refreshing Californian vibes of it!! Also, short hair ( ﾟ∀ ﾟ)

Number 2. Was taken in the room of the Mitsui Garden Ginza hotel I was staying at... Minutes before I went to brightest Tokyo Tower🗼! I was dreaming with this moment!!! How would it be? How should I dress? What shall I do to my hair?? I was such a baby gal but seeing myself in full burando was moving! Also just dyied my hair with one of those Schwarzkopf Fresh Light Pink Champagne colour and I felt like the biggest b*tch ever! Honestly, it has great memories, specially seeing every branded item, my hair, all carefully done... I was so happy and that's why it became of my favs!!!! 

Number 3. is so so so recent! Probably from June? Kinda off. It's been a complicated time for me all throughout 2020 but the last bit I spent in Spain it was brightened up by Calypso and Maka, who were taking care of me all the time! We did some video calls and tried dressing up - talk kind of chat and tried on few styles! That one was just open lashes, black and zebra for us 3 and I think the result was one of the most gyaru outfit I've ever worn without much branding!!!!! Like proper old school! 

I enjoyed of much doing it and chatting with my girls and that's why its one of my favs!

Share 3 things your learned during your Gyaru journey.

I've learned a lot. Good things a bad things, actually!

1. Haters gonna hate. No matter what you do. They gonna be there trying to landmine you no matter if you more or less popular! And you have to leave with it and overcome it!

2. How to feel super comfy in my own skin. Meaning, learning how to ignore complexes as much as possible as well as making your strong points even stronger! And be happy with them!

3. Follow your own advice but don't be a bitch and reject constructive feedback! Specially when coming from people that cares!

And last but not least... We all have been newbies once!!!!

I've chosen models since I look up to them a lot! And they Japanese, so they cover the needs 😂 

1. Manya! Because she has gal vibes in everything she does! Like she's naturally been gal for over 10 years already! And pretty af!!!!!

2. Maachirin! Because she's the bitchiest bitch ever and I love her!!!! I love how extreme and whore she can get!!!! Maybe not a role model for many but an example for me!!! 

3. And my dreamed couple! Does anybody else ship them? 😂😂 I've loved her since I was no even gal and I'm not stopping now!!!! I'll always look up to them even if they not gal no more. They are my reason and my starting point into gal!! 

What's your favorite Gyaru memory?

When I was offered to work for D.I.A from one of their store staffs!!!!
I've told this to many people already and I think it's one of the memories I treasure the most.
In 2015 I went to Japan in Jan/Feb and was shopping sales in 109 when, while in the dress room in D.I.A store, the manager (? Don't actually know if she was a manager, but definitely someone in charge, since she was called from one of the other girls) came to me and pointed a paper in the wall inside the dressing room asking if I was a student.
My Japanese is not the best (and neither was back then 😂) but with few katakana, a bit of intuition and couple of English words... I could understand that the paper was a notice of the store searching for staff!!!
I unfortunately wasn't a student, neither I holded a visa that I could work with so I had to (believe me... Very sadly) reject it 😢😢😢😭😭😭😭
The staff member and the "manager" looked really dissapointed and farewell me so kindly while leaving.

When I even think about it today... I just want to cry!!!!!! ((´д｀))

What would do advice to people who want to start in the style but doesn't have the courage yet?

Hum! I'd probably tell them to research, research and research! To get full of the essence! To see styles and styles and to not being afraid of trying!! We all have been newbies and trying makes the improvement!!!! If you never try...  You'll never get there!
Also I would advice to not being dissapointed with themselves, to start little by little (first this ,then that, one step at the time!) And to love every improvement!
And very important... Get a gal pal! That always helps!

Soy mas de perros >< yo soy muy pesada y los gatos a veces son demasiado independientes y pasan un poco de mi! Por eso prefiero los perros! El viaje de "Chi-i-o" xDDD

Con respecto al titulo os dire, que si no decia una tonteria, no me quedaba tranquila xDD

Bueno! Aqui estamos ya! *O* Os contare el viaje todo lo resumidamente que pueda! Por que aqui son las 22:30 y eso indica que hay que irse al futon (*O* futoooon tierno xD) en breve para madrugar!

Ire en el orden cronologico! Cualquier cosa que querais que me extienda, me lo pedis y hago un post al respecto!

Aeropuerto:

Bueno, nervios mil, pero todo bien. Entramos al aeropuerto justo 2 horas antes y fuimos un poco de pachangueo, al DUTYFREE, a cenar y ya luego a buscar la puerta ( NERVIOS MALDITA SEA!)
Llegamos sanas y salvas a Londres, donde no saben, ni nunca sabran lo que es el verano, por que que el 1 de septiembre estemos a 11 grados por mas madrugada que sea xDDD horroroso, por que yo iba en short, maria tambien y las dos super de malaga, claro xD Pues nada, a morirse de frio!

Luego, tuvimos un percance, y es que yo, que soy lista, habia comprado el trasbordo el 31 de agosto... pero estabamos a uno de septiembre XDDD (fue un fallo tecnico le puede pasar a cualquiera xD) pero el señor conductor fue muy amable y nos llevo sin problema!

DE la misma manera, estoy muy contenta con el trato de los londinenses/britanicos en general, ellos fueron realmente amables con nosotras y nos ayudaron mucho!

Y esta fue nuestra primera noche sin dormir! Estuvimos intentandolo en Heathrow pero la verdad es que entre el frio y todo, no pudimos ;_; y a la 13:30 salio nuestro vuelo!!

NUNCA HABIA ESTADO TANTAS HORAS SEGUIDAS SENTADA!!! YO QUE PARECE QUE TENGO UN MUELLE EN EL CULO QUE ME IMPIDE QUEDARME TRANQUILA 10 MINUTOOOOOS ;_;

Se me hincharon los tobillos y, para colmo, me moria de frio! al menos habia una manta! *O* pero no dormi nada, por que cada vez que parecia que ibamos a dar la cabezadita, habia malvadas turbulencias que nos lo impedian xD

vi Harry Potter 6 por enesima vez en mi vida pero por segunda en ingles xDDD y fue bastante comico xD por que no podia verla seguida, me ponia a hablar de tonterias, me adormecia, escribia, leia xD

TOTAL! que llegamos! En el aeropuerto no dormimos tampoco, y llegamos a Tokyo de mañana, por lo que podria decirse que estuvimos 2 dias enteros sin dormir nada nada! y con las mismas, nos pusimos a ubicarnos, buscar el narita xpress activar el jrp y demases >o< De nuevo la gente super amable, un policia que nos indico un camino, como no entendia mucho ingles, nos acompaño al mismo sitio donde teniamos que quedarnos para tomar nuestro tren! Viajamos desde Narita hasta Shinagawa y en Shinagawa tomamos el shinkansen! Mas rapido de lo esperado en realidad y sin ningun contratiempo mas que el de que nos equivocamos de asiento, pero la revisora de tickets no dijo nada y nos quedamos ahi, toh sobadas! Teniamos que llegar a las 14:47 y llegamos... A LAS 14:47 hoyga que exactituh xD Llegamos, y cogimos un taxi al hotel! LA GENTE QUE REGENTA NUESTRO HOTEL SON PURO AMOOOOOL (L) son tres chicas jovenes y dos chicos jovenes (Mizuki, Yumi y Yukiho, las chicas, y Aki el chico, al otro chico solo lo vi un rato y no se su nombre! T_T) las mas simpaticas son mizuki y yukiho! Son pure love y siempre se rien con las tonterias que digo! xD ( pues les van a doler las mandibulas por que, otra cosa no se, pero tonterias digo muchas xD) Nos explicaron las cosas, nos instalamos y nos fuimos a buscar el cocolulu que yo habia leido que habia en kyoto! Morireis cuando os diga que el centro comercial no era sino un 109 en plena Kyoto! Se llama AVANTIS y nada mas entrar te encuentras un egoist, luego sly, luego glam devil, luego cocolulu, marpleQ, liz lisa, rienda, y un largo etc de tiendas gyaru, ademas de una tienda de pelucas unos zapatos y mucho mas! Tanto que no pude resistirme y me compre un vaquero y una falda de leopardo en MarpleQ, el vaquero no me queda, ya me lo veia venir -.- pero bueno! hedecidido hacer algo con ellosque ya os enseñare! xD y luego en cocolulu me compre una camiseta que vereis en las fotos, un colgante con anecdota, una cola de zorro, una gorra y unas bambas de estas tipo converse con un millon de plataformaª! *O* estaa feliz feliz! Me tome una foto con la dependienta pero me pidio que no la subiera y de momento sere buena! ;_; era una chica que de ingles poco pero de gestos se las sabia todas! xDDDD En lis liza habia una modelo con toah la cara de la okarie super mona y agradable que nos habkaba todo el rato *O* En definitiva, compramos psicoticamente y volvimos! Compramos nuestra cena en el seven eleven (donde no venden nah xD no se de que sirve que este hasta las tantas xD) y nos fuimos al ryokan! tras charlar con las chicas nos bañamos, hablamos con la familia y nos preparamos los futones! *O* que maravilla! *O* eran esponjosos y deliciosos! y hacia fresquetete en la habitacion! (se llama aire acondicionado xD) Y cai muerta despues de dos dias sin dormir, en serio, estaba super mareada y se ve que el dia antes hubo un terremoto gordo y habia replicas y me sentia fatal! Pero fue un dia increible, cuando llegue y empece a ver las casas y apuff! no quiero irme, leñes!! El Gordo De Shinee (11/08/2012)

Buenas!!! Hoy qué me disculpen las personas que me leen en inglés (si aún las hay XD) porque tengo un poco dé prisa y quiero hacer la actu rápido!

El viernes ya me voy!!! (゜ゝ゜)
Estoy muy de los nervios, aún no me creo NAH y la maleta anda a medio hacer (??)

Total! hoy vengo a hablaros de cosas bonicas!! Como lo fue la visita de 3 de mis preciosas Black Jack!

Ao, Vio y Natt llegaron el dia 11 a medio día! Justo cuando yo llegue también! La Tocinita llevaba desde la mañana allí dado qué creíamos qué ellas llegarían antes!

Vio venía de incógnito! La Tocina tenia muchas ganas de conocerla y por eso nos compinchamos para decirle qué no venía y luego hacerla aparecer por arte dé birlibirroque!!

Bueno! Recogí a las niñas en la estación, que era el punto de encuentro, mientras María almorzaba en él centro comercial! Entonces después de decir las primeras tonterías del meeting y decirnos las ganas qué teníamos de vernos y yo insistir en que Vio era mucho mas baja de lo qué yo había esperado... LLEGAMOS AL RESTAURANTE!

Entramos las cuatro y nos colocamos junto a María, esperando a ver su reacción.

Y es qué tuvo mucha gracia cuando las miro y se le puso toda la cara de alegría hasta que. .. "SEÑORITA VIOLETA! " Se levantó de la silla como si tuviera un muelle y la abrazo! jujujuju y me riño por engañarla >< Estuvimos yendo y viniendo por los centros comerciales de la capital, huyendo dé la Feria y Charlando sobre bb y sobre coreanos sexiiiorros y esas cosas XDDDDDD Pero... algo nos aguardaba en la estación del tren ,la última parada de la tarde... Tras una pequeña compra en claires, la chicas sé sentaron a descansar y yo sali a la puerta a hablar por teléfono! ENTONCES! AHÁ!!!! MADRE MIRA BAJARON LOS ANGELES Y TOCARON SUS ARPAS Y EL CIELO SE LLENO DE HACES DE LUZ (dé beam XD) blanca y.. Ay oppa! Dos señoritos asiáticos (uno de los cuales era bonito bonito bonito!! )) entraron mientras yo hablaba por teléfono. Yo los miré, ellos me miraron! O.O y debió quedarles claro él escándalo que iba a armar porque sonrieron y se dirigieron al interior con paso rápido! Entonces yo colgué el teléfono y eche a correr avisando, histérica pérdida dicho sea de paso, a Ao y a Natt gritando qué miraran em dirección BSK XD Entonces mientras yo esperaba a vio y a la Tocina ellas se inmolaron contra una barrera humana dé varones occidentales qué les impedían el paso! Tuche! la Victoria fué suya cuando jugaron a ser bolas de bowling y ellos los pobres e indefensos bolos XD Y, claru, con la emoción vibrante del momento, se quedaron paradas mirando fijo a los chicos a través de un espejo mientras uno (él mas bonico) se arreglaba el flequillo!!!! Luego ya llegue yo, grité mis típicas BURRAdas y luego nos fuimos a intentar fingir una realidad vana después dé haber visto a esos dos hermosos monumentos XDDDDDD Después De 2 o 3 horas hablando de lo mismo (es qué daba que hablar) conocer los problemas de Gordofobia de vio y muchas cosas ma, cogimos el bus al pueblo! En él trayecto empezamos a hacer memeces, hablar de mas coreanos, haciendo fotos con caretos a tope (qué calor hacia aquel día! ) y riendo mucho! En Casa, tras ir a comprar un helado de última hora y aprovechar para hablar dé los señores asiáticos un poco más... le enseñamos a las chicas la cadena COREANA!! arirang celestial XDDDDDD Inventamos un juego de prendas respectivo a los esposos y... cuando menos nos lo esperábamos, mientras nos reiamos de vio y la Gordofobia.. . Oigo Qué dice aokirina "Tu Lo qué quieres es ligarte al gordo dé Shinee" me dio un ataque de risa y desde ese momento, ShingDong dejo de formar parte de SuJu para empezar a ser Miembro honorífico de Shinee! ! Luego nos fuimos a mimi! al día siguiente almorzamos juntas ,vimos muchos videos y nos despedimos! !!!!!! ;3; ME QUEDE CON GANAS DE MAS! Y NATT SE DEJO SUS GAFAS!! XD Tengo Ganas de repetirlo así qué ya quiero Volver de Tokio (... si hombre XD) para verlas a ellas y a las demás ! Fue un finde increíble! Hola de nuevo!!

Hello again girls!!

Hoy vengo a traeros algunas chorradas varias para que no me extrañeis mas de la cuenta!!

Today I'll leave here some absurd things for you so~ don't miss me more than normal OK?? XD

Siento si últimamente no os dejo muchos outfits y esas cositas pero estoy super agobiada T.T además él calor me quita las ganas de toh XD

Sorry if these days I don't leave outfits and this kind of things! I'm really busy and hot make me so lazy T.T

Bueno, ya os conté qué estoy actualizado desde él móvil por eso no pongo las fotos en orden >< aún no doy con la tecla para ordenarlas! Honto ni gomen nasai ><

En primer lugar os dejo la nueva base de make qué he comprado. La verdad es qué si os soy sincera me la compre en Kiko por lo baratos qué son sus productos. Estaba un poco desesperada y no tenía dinero para las bases qué me gustan. Además, solo quería algo qué me cubriera un poco las imperfecciones ><

In the first hand I'll leave about my new make up. I really wasn't looking for good make up base, I only wanted something that covers my face's imperfections.

Pero la gracia del asunto es que es impresionantemente cubriente (esta palabra no existe cierto?  XDDDDDD) o.o yo tengo la faz muy grasa y me salen muchos brillos pero él make up este no sólo cubre muy bien, sino qué además para chicas de tez clara que lleven estilos sweetosos y tal y qué tengan la piel mixtas, pienso qué ni os harán falta polvos encima (yo los uso por que si no me paso de blanca y algunos brillos si qué salen, en mi caso concreto a causa de la grasa facial).

But using it I've discovered that that make up base cover ALL! My skin is so oily but I think in sweet girl with light and mix skin maybe so usable! maybe this kind of faces don't need mineral loose powder at all next to use this base >< (I use it cuz as I've said before my skin is so oily ><)

Por otro lado fui a ver Sombras Tenebrosas *0000* (Chio Fallece de puro amor por Tim Burton, Johnny Deep y Helena Boham Carter XDDDDDD) soy super fan de Burton y sus elencos  ><

In the other hand I've gone to watch Dark Shadows *0000* (chio dies in love with Tim Burton, Johnny Deep and Helena Boham Carter XDDDD) I'm really fan is Tim and his castings *0*

No haré grandes spoilers para los que no la hayan visto pero diré "soy una mujer lobo, no hagamos ahora un Drama dé esto ôuô" XDDDDDD

I won't do big spoilers, for people who haven't watched it but I'll say "I'm Wolf woman. Don't make drama of it ôuô" XDDDDDD
